- WhatsApp has recently launched a group voice chat feature, which has been in beta testing for some users. This feature, initially referred to as a group voice call, has been designed to make chatting with friends on group chats more enjoyable.
- It is perfect for lazy friends who are tired of typing and for lengthy conversations. The feature introduces a waveform icon within the group chat interface, which can be accessed by tapping on the profile picture.
- Members can start a voice chat by tapping on the icon, join it by pressing the connect button, and leave it by tapping on the red “X” icon at the top right-hand corner of the screen.
- During the voice chat, group chat members can talk with one another, making it ideal for bulky and stressful topics. The chat interface also allows users to see the number of members currently participating in the discussion.
- Currently, only a few Android users can beta-test this feature, but it will be available to both Android and iOS users globally in the coming weeks.
