- In Marrakech, Morocco, on Monday night, the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) Awards for 2023 were presented. Victor Osimhen of Nigeria won Player of the Year, beating out Egypt’s Mohammed Salah and Morocco’s Achraf Hakimi, the full-back. Ibrahim Gusau, the president of the Nigeria Football Federation, has praised the accomplishments of the Super Falcons, Asisat Oshoala, Victor Osimhen, and Chiamaka Nnadozie.
