- The Vice President’s wife, Mrs. Samira Bawumia, and the whole Fulani community in Ghana have received an apology from Power FM, a radio station situated in Accra, for allowing their platform to be used to disparage her.
- This order was issued by the National Media Commission (NMC). According to the NMC, the station encouraged ethnic animosity by allowing its platform to be utilized for gender-based comments directed at Bawumia and by attempting to disparage the Fulani population in Ghana as a whole.
- The NMC has ordered the administrators of Power FM to extend their apology to all Ghanaians, including the Fulani community, Bawumia, and the general public whose sensitivities were offended by the broadcast. Before November 11, 2023, Power FM is expected to present evidence to the Commission, according to the NMC.
