- Ras Caleb, a reggae musician, has attacked MUSIGA, a political party in Ghana, calling it a cartel that keeps outsiders from assuming power.
- According to Caleb, the cartel has been around since Diana Hopeson’s administration, and he does not want to be a part of it. He intended to take MUSIGA to a new level, but for the time being, he will hold onto it.
- Concerns over the election that was rescheduled to choose a new president last Tuesday were also voiced by Caleb. He requested an Interim Management Committee and pleaded for an impartial entity to oversee the election and its procedures.
- Caleb also maintained that the Ghanaian Electoral Commission just administers elections—it does not participate in them.
- Given that he will oversee the compilation of the voter registration for the election committee, he proposed that Bessa Simons, the interim president of MUSIGA, not serve as both a referee and a contender simultaneously.
- Rev. Dr. Yawson, Abena Ruthy, S. K. Agyemang, Rev. Eyison, Rev. Gifty Ghansah, and Chizzy Wailer are among the other chosen executives.
